Waco Parrot Quaker Parakeet Lake Mary, FL

Hello everyone! My name is Waco, and I am a very cute Quaker parrot. I am approximately 8 years old. I was entrusted to the care of Florida Parrot Rescue to find me a new forever home where I will get lots of love and attention.

One thing to know about Quakers is that we are known for being cage aggressive and I definitely fit the bill! But once I am away from my cage, I am a total sweetheart! I love to sit on my foster mom's shoulder with my face pressed against hers. I am such a little lovebug! I am not a biter in the aggressive sense, but I am a nipper. I enjoy taking baths and making lots of splashes! I am a good eater, and my foster mom is working on transitioning my diet to Harrisons pellets and chop.

I enjoy being outside of my cage and a busy play stand in my forever home would be perfect with lots of toys because I really do love them! I am very active so I will need lots of stimulation and play time outside of my cage during the day.

I am in a home with other birds and do well with them. I do not talk but I say my name and my foster mom says it sounds like I am trying to speak in Spanish.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
