Hello everyone! My name is Star and I'm an 18-year-old female gray cockatiel. If you're looking to share your life with a cute and sassy senior bird, then I'm your gal.

I would enjoy having other birds to chat with as I used to have some cockatiel companions when I was younger. I am very easy to care for, despite having suffered a leg injury many years ago. I can't climb around as easily as other birds now, but the vet says it looks just fine and is causing me no pain or problems!

I love attention but haven't totally warmed up to my foster mom yet. I do like eating treats out of her hand. I also really like being free out of my cage and getting some exercise. I haven't totally figured what the "step-up" means, but my foster mom keeps trying to get me to do it. It will make me very happy if you whistle or sing to me.

Right now, I am primarily on a seed diet. The vet says in my old age, that's just fine. If my new family wants to transition me to pellets in order to improve my health and lifespan a little bit, that would be fine, but you will need to have patience with me as I am a stubborn eater.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
