Squirt Parrot Amazon Lenexa, KS

Hi, I am Squirt. I am a Blue Front Amazon and I am reported to be 40 years old. I came to BNW from a dog and cat rescue in another state. My owner wasn't able to keep me and had turned me over to animal control. Now I live with my foster family and am showing them how loving I can be. My favorite thing to do is to be on your shoulder and with you all day. If I can’t find you I may get off my perch and walk around until I find you. Watching TV in the recliner with you is my
perfect evening, although I usually fall asleep. My favorite thing to eat is anything you are eating, cashews, and walnuts. I’ve been told pellets are best and am working on balancing my diet, but I don’t like vegetables, especially broccoli.

Note from Squirt’s foster family. It took about a week for Squirt to accept the change and since then he has shown me how loving he can be. All he wants is someone to be with him. He steps up, goes in and out of his cage easily, and just wants to be close. He does not like sharing his home with other birds however, and would do best in a home without other birds. I would make a great companion for someone who just likes to hang out. Diet: Pellets, fruits & veggies, nuts or seeds as treats. Adoption fee: $450.
