Meet Puff Berry

Madame Puff Ball is nothing short of remarkable. For reasons unknown, she was found stray and taken to Oakland Animal Services. There she presented with lameness in her legs, so Palomacy took her in and rushed her to Medical Center for Birds. After x-rays and testing came up negative, everyone was left stumped as to why she wasn't able to use her legs. We think she may have sustained a head injury at one point which left the connection from her brain to her legs out of sorts. For the past few months, Madame's foster mom has been working tirelessly with her to retrain her brain into realizing her legs are there and can be used. Day after day of physical therapy went by, and each one of those days showed improvement. Now Madame Puff Ball is able to stand on her own! We are so thrilled she's come this far in her recovery, and we know she'll continue to improve.
