Meet Orzo
Orzo: A Mediterranean pasta treat. But this Orzo I am talking about is a racing pigeon survivor! Landing under a bridge with a city flock, Orzo was completely worn out! Orzo's unique appearance caught a joggers eye. Doe eyed, with a brilliant necklace of turquoise and purples and dramatic black wings really set Orzo apart from the crowd. Thank goodness a quick save by another bird rescue brought Orzo eventually to GLPR. Rested and reinvigorated with that special dose of loving care from our sanctuary team, Orzo is now hoping for a one way ticket to a foster or forever home! It's the Pigeon Polar Express: all aboard the train running straight to warm your heart on a cold winter's day with Orzo nestled in your lap!
