Meet Mallow

Is this the world’s largest marshmallow? The newest Squishmallow? Actually, this extremely fluffy Mallow is a real live bird! Baby Mallow was barely even a mini marshmallow when he was found, wet and cold, in a puddle on the side of a busy Chicago street. As a baby king pigeon, Mallow likely managed to escape slaughter as squab in a live poultry market, and now had nowhere to turn… Until GLPR volunteer Natalie wrapped him in a warm towel and carried him to safety! Mallow needed lots of TLC as he grew into the handsome young man he is today. His harrowing past is but a distant memory now! As a king pigeon, Mallow is a big fluffy boi who really does feel like a Squishmallow come to life when you pick him up or pet him! Like a puppy dog who hasn’t quite grown into his big feet, Mallow loves to play play play all day long! But at nighttime, this sleepy baby will follow you around the house until you pick him up and tuck him in bed. He’s waiting longingly for his very own adoptive home where he can be the center of attention and know his very own person is tucking him in safely each night for the rest of his life!
