Hi- I am Harvard, an 8-year-old, male (assumed), Green-Cheek
Conure. My friends and family call me Harvey! My vet says that I am a happy and healthy bird. I have always been loved and well cared for, but my family couldn’t keep me any longer. They placed me in the care of FPR so that I could be happy in a new home.

Everyone who meets me says that I am a handsome and very sweet little fellow! I do like meeting new people, if they go slowly. When I am asked to “Step Up”- I will. I know that “step up” means to get on your finger, and “step off” means to get off your finger. I can also say “step up.” In fact, I can say other things in English like, “Come here,” “Go Get It,” and “I Love You!” I follow that last one up with smoochy sounds for good measure! My foster Mom says that I say and sing many things, but most of them are in my beautiful Conure language, so she doesn’t always understand what I’m saying. But she does understand that I like to dance to music (or the vacuum) and will dance with me- that makes me happy!

Some of my FAVORITE things include taking a bath (in my water bowl), getting kisses and snuggling on my person’s shoulder, under her ear and hair. Getting head and ear scratches are super good too- BUT I DO want you to ask me to “Pet the Bird” BEFORE you try to do it! Manners, please. Watching cartoons (Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Dora) and conure videos on TV is also a fun time.

Bird pellets are my main meal, and I like several types of those. Seed treats, some fruits and NutriBerries are good, too. I really do not care for most fresh veggies, pasta, grains or other human food- even though my foster Mom keeps trying.

I am such a fun bird, but I do need to be the only bird in the home. So, if you are interested in adopting me, please know that I definitely want to be the only feathered man in your life!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
