Harry and Rodney Parrot Ringneck / Psittacula Valrico, FL

Hello everyone! My name is Harry, and I am a male Indian Ringneck parrot. I am bonded with my female companion, Rodney. We are approximately 9 to 10 years old. Though we are bonded, we are caged separately in a nice new side by side cage. We love each other very much but just like married couples, we need our individual space too.

We are a bit cautious around new people but once we get to know you, we can be quite chatty. We say, "hello, what are you doing" and "pretty baby". We also love our daily time outside of the cage. The lanai is our favorite place to catch some UV rays.

We are fun birds, but our personalities are different. We both step up when we want, but I will step up more readily. I am a sweetheart and will give kisses and hang out on your shoulder. I am a pretty laid-back bird. Rodney is more dominant and reserved. She loves shredding her toys and foraging for special treats.

We are very active and social. We don’t go far when we are out of our cages, but we really enjoy hanging out on top and being together and exploring. We would need to be adopted in a home that allows us lots of out of cage time because being in our cages all day would be too stressful for us.

We are on a diet of seeds, pellets, and chop. We also like fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts. Pistachios are our favorite! We also enjoy sunflower seeds and will easily learn new things to be rewarded with our favorite treats!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
