Meet Envy - Greenwing Macaw
Meet a beautiful and funny Greenwing girl named Envy!
This girl is an adult female, she was transferred to our shelter from Missouri, the video was taken of her on the long drive from the Midwest to our shelter in Blairstown, NJ. You can see what an amazing and funny personality she has. Her exact history and age is unknown, she was definitely a pet and family member at one time, she had been in a breeding program for many years and came to our rescue from that setting.
Update on Envy - She is an amazing GW that will bond strongly with her chosen person, she is very interactive, loves spending time with people and truly a funny girl. She is a very strong willed macaw, tho not aggressive or mean, she needs macaw home that understands macaw and would do best in a home with an experienced person. Truly this is a wonderful GW that someone will be very lucky to have in their home!!
Thankfully her amazing personality was not lost in the years of breeding. She is a mild plucker and in a loving interactive home, we expect her to fully feather and be an amazingly gorgeous girl. She is very very interactive, and is very animated. We would love to see her be a full time family member in a home where she is treated like a feathered child and has company and interactive throughout the day.

Adoption Process:Fill out our online adoption application which can be found on our website, www.ahelpingwing.org (no phone calls please). A representative from A Helping Wing will be in touch to answer all questions and discuss setting up a first visit. Multiple visits are required before adoption. Although there is no application fee, there is an adoption fee, which covers food, medical care, etc., and allows us to continue our efforts in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for all of our birds. All birds at AHW have been vetted and have negative tests for any disease before they are made available for adoption!
