Meet Dexter
Meet Dexter, a handsome 9-year-old eclectus who is ready for his forever home. Male eclectus parrots are known for their refined, gentlemanly personality and Dexter is certainly no exception! He is sweet and loving, although sometimes he can take a bit to warm up to new people. Some of Dexter's favorite things include veggies, attention, and flying--he LOVES zooming around his foster home. Because of his love for flying, Dexter would do best in a household where his wings are allowed to remain intact (no clipping). We refer to Dexter as our resident muppet due to his Elmo-like voice, which he uses to repeat lots of fun noises, phrases, and whistles. Since he can be a bit noisy, especially when wanting attention, Dexter would not be suitable for an apartment or a living situation with shared walls. Eclectus parrots have special nutritional requirements that are different from other parrots, so a general knowledge of this will be expected in Dexter's forever home. We encourage all of Dexter's future applicants to do a bit of research on eclectus diets! Adoption fee - $550
