HI, my name is Cinco, and I am a young boy who will be 3 years old this spring. I am settling in my foster home and can't wait to meet my forever family.

I love being around people, but I prefer females. What can I say? I’m just a ladies’ man. I do want to interact with people, hanging out on the side of my cage to watch you and what you’re doing. I want to be part of the action and am very curious. I’m very good with stepping up too, but on a stick. I’m working with my foster mom to be more comfortable with hands and will step up on arms and shoulders now. If someone can be patient and work with me consistently, I will come around to trust you and your hands too. I just need a little encouragement and someone willing to spend the quality time with me that I deserve. I’m a good boy and am very smart! I’m still very young and will make an excellent companion once you put a little effort into me.

I am very vocal and love to sing and chirp all day but am pretty quiet for a lovebird. I love bells, exploring new toys or areas of the house, interacting with my foster mom, and I love a good bathing session. My feathers are beautiful and vibrant. Baths help to keep me looking handsome, so be prepared for me to take a dip in my water bowl from time to time. I’m also very easygoing about my cage. Some lovebirds can be a little territorial about the cages, but not me. Feel free to rearrange my toys and clean my cage, I’ll sit back and observe as you do.

When I was surrendered to FPR, I was on a generic brand of cockatiel seed, but my foster mom switched me to a healthier diet of Zupreem pellets. I’m also exploring some fruits and veggies; I’ll try anything once. I would do anything for millet or Lafeber’s Nutriberries!

My foster home has other small parrots and dogs. I don’t mind the extra company, even barking, but I do not like interacting with the other birds outside of my cage.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
