Berta and Bluey Parrot Budgie / Budgerigar Deltona, FL

Hello everyone! We are Berta and Bluey and we are two male heart throbs! We love to quietly chirp to each other while keeping an eye on you and what you are doing. While we prefer to interact with each other, we have no problem stepping up on your finger once we are out of the cage.

We love playing with our toys and our millet. Our foster mom is working hard to convert us both over to a pellet diet but so far, we still prefer our seeds. We are getting used to being given chop so it's not such a scary thing for us to see it in our habitat anymore, but we do not have any interest in eating it or any fruit. And although we hear that lots of birdies enjoy Avi-Cakes and NutriBerries, we have deemed them enemies!

We are such easy-going little guys who really enjoy the simple things in life. Some of the things we enjoy are long afternoons in the sun by the pool in a screened in lanai, spray baths, millet and chirping to the other birdies outside. We also really enjoy watching everything you do. While we are not a fan of the shoulder... yet, we definitely have potential to someday sit on one.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
