Archie is a 30-something Amazon parrot with a big personality, a love for veggies, and an impressive vocabulary of whistles, mumbles, and the occasional very enthusiastic "HELLO!" He's the more outgoing half of a bonded pair--his buddy Reba prefers to keep her distance while Archie climbs, explores, and gleefully chews every wooden block in sight.

Though he's hand-shy, Archie is curious and social. He loves interacting with people--as long as it's on his terms--and will happily take treats gently from your hand (Nutriberries are a firm favorite). He's polite about sharing space, stepping aside to let you change his bowls, and will even play peekaboo behind the cage tray or wiggle his toes through the bars to engage in a round of "got your toe." He loves mist baths, climbs all over his cage, and flutters his wings with excitement when the vibes are good.

Archie isn't looking for snuggles--he's looking for a best friend who understands parrots, respects boundaries, and thinks a chill morning of shared veggies sounds pretty perfect. He and Reba have been thriving on a healthy diet in foster care, and both have trimmed down and perked up since arriving at STAR.

These two must be adopted together and are considered seniors, so their forever home will need to have an avian vet lined up and be comfortable with age-related care. Reba does have a mild heart murmur that simply needs monitoring, but both birds are doing wonderfully.
