Our Mission

Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes criminally abused, neglected and abandoned farm animals.
Rescue – working in cooperation with law enforcement and county humane organizations we provide our service to Ohio and any state beyond requesting assistance.
Rehabilitation – providing the veterinary attention, nutrition, and maintenance care and nurture to each animal who enters the sanctuary.
Re-home – networking to find loving and forever homes for each animal based on the best match of people, personalities and facilities.
Happy Trails does NOT accept owner surrenders. However, the organization provides guidance and networking in an effort to be a support for the community under these circumstances.
Adoption Policy

Step 1 Review our adoption process and FAQs. This can often answer your questions and speed up your adoption process.
Step 2 Submit an adoption survey. This tells us about your experience, what you are looking for and what you might need in order to make your adoption a success. We can help!
Step 3 Talk to us. Our placement coordinator will lend an ear to help match you with your right animal and set up a time to visit the sanctuary. Photos requested are in the spirit of assisting an adopter to provide the best chance for a worry-free adoption. This is not a pass or fail, but rather a partnership for success!
Step 4 Choose your companion. By appointment, our staff will help you select an animal suited to your wants, needs and facility.
Step 5 Complete the adoption! Arrangements will be made for you to take your adopted animal home. Fall in love - Fill out the contract and pay the fee - Begin your next chapter!
