Who We Are
Furry Friends Orphanage is the rescue group of the Southern California Chapter of the Rat & Mouse Club of America. Working in cooperation with local shelters and humane societies, we assist with the rescue and adoption of domesticated rats for pets.
Adopting a friend
We have an interview process with our Adoption Board to ensure that rats are the right pet for you and your family, and that you are the right owner for the rats. We require that all animals adopted can NEVER be allowed to breed, and are not allowed to be used as food for other animals. We have an adoption fee of $15 per rat. If you would like three or more, we are very happy to discuss discounted fees.
Come Visit Us!
Our rescue is made up of a staff of dedicated, unpaid volunteers who open their personal homes for our animals. Due to this fact, we do not have a specific facility for you to visit to see what animals are available. Please contact us at ratzone1@aol.com, and we will be happy to make arrangements for you to meet your new potential pets.
