Charlie 121542 Boxer Mix Newark, NJ

Charlie is a very sweet and people focused 3 yr old boxer mix. He has not had the best life with fly bites in his ears and a poor physique but he has not lost his love for people or his charm. He will dance on his hind legs for attention and even when he jumps up on you he barely touches you with his paws. He even ignored all the dogs coming and going as he was being evaluated. Charlie liked our toys and played with them very nicely and was willing to give them up when asked. He walks very nicely on lead and stays at your side most of the time. He enjoys and seeks out your touch. He has no issues with his teeth, paws or tail being handled or inspected. He took his treats very gently and didn’t mind being pet or handled while he ate. He even allowed hands in his food bowl. Charlie has a calm but playful personality and would make a lovely family friend and companion

The Society cannot accept personal checks but we do accept Visa, MC, AE, Discover and cash. As part of our adoption process, we must have proof of residency. Homeowners must show proof of ownership; landlord approval is required for renters before an adoption can be approved..Attention rescues: The Newark shelter is very rescue-friendly. With each adoption, the Society will present a DVD on TRAINING YOUR DOG or YOUR ADOPTED CAT at no charge. The dog video will include problems with chewing, jumping, mouthing, etc., but who trains a cat? There are $300 worth of free coupons offered with the dog video and $100 in free coupons for each cat adopter.
