Phelps is a 1 year old Plott hound. A southern relation to the Labrador. He LOVES the water. When its time for the kennels to be cleaned Phelps will dive at and roll all around the puddles left behind. Phelps is very sweet and affectionate with a calm and loving nature. Phelps came in to the shelter very thin but he is starting to fill out into a sleek and slender swimming gold metalist. He walks like a champ on lead and loves to be handled head to tail. He enjoys playing with toys and loves treats. He takes everything with a gentle mouth and is happy to share anything he has. Phelps has wonderful manners at the food bowl and when it comes to meeting others. Phelps is a great web footed pal who will shower you with love and entertainment at the beach. ** LATEST ON PHELPS, in Nov. Phelps has been attending the hides and
events with the other doggies from the shelter and as you can see in this
picture he's having a ball.Everyone says he is a delight. He can be playful or just chill out when the group takes a rest stop. He doesn't demand attention like some of the dogs do. He was so sweet and gentle with the 12 year old boy on the hike, he is always in a kennel at the shelter with another dog and gets along fine with other dog friendly dogs. Poor Phelps has been waiting so long for someone to come and see what a wonderful dog he is and fall in love with him.

There are $300 worth of free coupons offered with the dog video and $100 in free coupons for each cat adopter.
