Bandit and Millie are two gorgeous Akita/ Mastiff mixes who were surrendered to the city shelter when their owner's new landlord told him he couldn't have dogs. They are two of the sweetest dogs you will ever hope to meet--lovely with people and kids alike. Now at 9 years old, this affectionate brother and sister team need a loving home. Bandit is the larger of the two and resembles a mastiff more in his body form and fur color, but has the lush, soft hair of an Akita. His sister Millie, who could stand to lose a pound or two, weighs in at 76 lbs. They are both spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots. Both are bright and alert, but very low maintenance and mellow. They have not been socialized with other dogs in their past lives, so they need to be the only pets in the household. They are so sweet and wonderful, it's hard to imagine why they aren't lounging serenely in someone's living room at this very moment. Bandit and his sister relish hugs and petting and are patient and calm, even when a photographer annoyed them with a flash. To give these lovable, huggable seniors their last secure home would take an extraordinary humane person or family.
