Meet Zoey

An application must be completed, before we can schedule a meet and greet. Apply here at: http://welcomehomedogrescue.org/adoption/application-to-adopt-a-companion/

Meet Zoey, who was rescued as a stray from the Orange County Animal Shelter. Zoey is a beautiful gray and white Shih Tzu. She weighs 10 1/2 pounds, is spayed, house trained, social, and gets along well with other dogs. She is estimated to be 2-3 years old. Zoey will be fostered in Long Beach by our wonderful volunteer, Faith.

Shih Tzus have hair (not fur) so they don't shed, but they do need regular grooming. They can either be kept in an easy maintenance puppy cut (as Zoey is now) or the coat can be allowed to grow into a long full coat.

Zoey is loving and affectionate! She will attach to a new family quickly! She does show some minor signs of separation anxiety, as is typical with many strays and rescues. Zoey would love to sleep with her new owner, but she is being crate trained by her foster mom.

All adoptable companions from Welcome Home Dog Rescue come with a full health check up, up-to-date vaccinations and are micro-chipped. All applications are reviewed in the order they are received; however, WHDR will ultimately select the best applicant to pet union.
