Sarah English Setter & Cocker Spaniel Mix Cypress, CA

Sarah is a very cute, sweet, 11-month old female English Setter/Cocker Spaniel mix. She is on the small side, weighing about 24 pounds, and is about 16 inches high at the withers.

Sarah was so scared in the shelter that she had to be carried out of her kennel, as she wouldn’t walk on a leash. She is blossoming, but will need to be with someone who has experience with a shy/fearful dog. She is learning to trust people.

Sarah likes other dogs and enjoys playing with her active English Setter foster sister. She likes her daily walks and playtime in the yard. She is food-motivated, and learns fairly quickly. She has a low prey drive, and has low to medium energy. She is crate-trained, and has not had any accidents in the house.

Because Sarah is shy she really needs another dog in the home to follow and show her everything is OK. She loves to play with her foster sister so we would like her to go to a home with another active dog that will run and play with her.
She is too shy/timid for any type of e-collar and will probably never be a candidate for this type of collar/training which means she is not a candidate for invisible fence containment. Sarah needs a physical fence in her new home and she has shown no fence climbing desires, so a fence as short as 4 foot would be fine.

Sarah is fully vetted and on heartworm preventative. She is in foster care in Cypress, CA and is available to adopt now.
