Ginger (formerly Shirley) Labrador Retriever & Shepherd Mix Warren, NJ

Ginger is a new name for Shirley for a new foster home. Ginger is a shy, loving, quiet companion dog. She is undemanding except that she loves to snuggle and have you rub her belly. She likes to go for walks but is not much of a player, preferring to lie quietly by your side.
Ginger came from an animal shelter in Texas. We think she is a lab with some others mixed in there. She had no family for quite a while and is lonely for affection. About a year ago, we had a mammary tumor removed, but she has been fine since then. She will not work in a home with cats, and is not comfortable when other dogs get very close to her.
Ginger is completely house trained and great on the leash. She doesn’t bark much but is an attentive watch dog and will announce when strangers come to your door once she has settled in. A beautiful dog who would prefer to be the only animal in your home. Please consider adopting her.
