Meet Deiter Von Nachtwach

Deiter is a strikingly handsome three-year-old Rottweiler with a sleek ebony coat that is beautifully accented in rich mahogany. His gorgeous head is crowned by expressively sculpted eyebrows. He is 115 pounds of awe-inspiring athleticism and energy.

Deiter is social, respectful, alert, playful, eager to please, intelligent and affectionate. He is appropriately aloof and alert with strangers, but will warm up quickly with some kind words and a treat or two after being given a command. He is food motivated and learns quickly. Deiter excels at many obedience commands, but lacks leash manners and requires a strong handler to further his training. He’s currently receiving professional training from a Rottweiler specialist, who will offer his new owner FREE training and consultations at no charge for his lifetime (some restrictions apply). Deiter has made tons of progress since he has been receiving regular handling. His strength, energy and training level currently prevent us from considering applicants with cats, small animals or children at this time. He’s lived with a male Rottweiler and was surrendered by a loving family. He seems to enjoy other dogs and a compatible female dog that can stand up to his rough-housing may be a possibility. However, we prefer he be the only dog so he can be given the training and socialization he needs. Deiter is correct in Rottweiler type and temperament. It is likely he is from German working lines.

Rottweilers require strong confident owners, training, socialization and extensive exercise. Lonely Deiter desires adult adopters experienced with Rottweiler/Working Dogs who are capable and willing to work him DAILY (dog sports, agility, obedience), exercise his body and mind and be responsible Rottweiler owners. Deiter has been in a lonely shelter for many months now and is desperate for a place of his own. He says he’s heard “there is someone out there for everyone (every dog)…but he is losing hope of finding his someone after watching kennelmate after kennelmate go to a new home. So if you are looking for a ROTTWEILER and you have experience with Rottweilers---we need you to open up your heart and home to Deiter! You will be getting a loyal friend that will devote his life to pleasing you.

ARNNE supports the rescue/critical care/boarding expenses of local town/city animal control officers that otherwise only have authorization to vaccinate or euthanize. Every life is precious but it takes funds to save lives.

Adoption fees rarely cover the expenses of rescuing, boarding and providing exemplary medical care to the animals in our program. All animals have had a thorough exam, are treated for any parasites or infections, spay/neutered, current on vaccines and micro-chipped.

For more information, please fill out an adoption request form at www.arnne.org. Email or call the shelter at 603-233-4801 and a volunteer will return your call.
