Meet Marnie

Marnie, a spayed female dog, 2 years old, 32lbs

Looking for a friendly, fun, and playful dog, and a companion to cuddle with, it will be me!  I am a wonderful dog with a great temperament and very friendly with everyone I meet. I am also great with children and love spending time with my foster mom’s boy who is 6 years old.  I am doing very well in my foster home where I get to play with many big and small dogs.  I get along with all dogs and won’t need any formal introduction and am even good and gentle with little puppies.

How did I end up wandering in the street and being left homeless without any food and shelter?  And, ended up being in a no-kill shelter?  Let me tell you that it really wasn’t the nicest place to stay but I sure got tons of love from the kind owner who rescued me off the street and gave me a place to stay.  I must have a home before as I am the sweetest girl you will ever meet.  However, it doesn’t matter anymore.  I bet my family just got too busy and had other plans and left me behind.

My foster mom is one of the few volunteers of the no kill shelter where I was living.  The shelter is very far and really remote so not many people come to visit us and of course the chances of me and all the 200 dogs waiting for homes of being adopted are very slim.  My lucky day came when my foster mom came to the shelter to see all the dogs.  She spotted me from far away and came to say “hi.”  She greeted me with her open arms and I missed the feeling of being hugged and kissed.  I wish she will pick me and bring me back to her home.

Without a second thought she told the owner of the shelter that she will take me and 8 other lucky dogs home and get us ready for a loving home.  We all adjusted very well and can’t wait for a family to love us and give us a chance to live.

Despite all the misfortune, I am a very happy go lucky dog and will be a great addition to any family.  Will you be that special family for me?
