Dandy Jack Russell Terrier & Chihuahua Mix Chesterfield, VA

Dandy, JRT mix 1-2 years old, spayed, UTD on shots, about 10lbs, house-trained, crate-trained, dog friendly, (overly confident/friendly with all dogs), submissive, people friendly after just a few minutes, Dandy was one of over a dozen dogs abandoned in Kentucky.  She was found chained on a very heavy logging chain. She is a very dainty little girl, very sweet, but is all rough and tumble playing with the other dogs.  She does very well on a leash. She's independent,  does enjoy lap time, but is not clingy.  She loves green beans with her food, a bit of a picky eater, so I feed her multiple times during the day. She is very interested in chasing birds, rabbits, etc.  She's not been tested with cats.

specials notes:  If you approach her too fast, she'll roll over on her back.  Don't pick her up while on her back.  She'll try to flip around like a cat.  She will yelp in fear? She is cautious, waits to seek attention, she waits to see  if your receptive. Will chase a lawnmower, so I leave her in the house.  I would not recommend young children that are not very gentle, she's too timid. 

 

If/when you need to pick her up off the floor or couch , do it SLOWLY.....  also she is afraid of storm doors.   She must have gotten got in one.
