Sophie Old English Sheepdog White Lake, MI

Now if you remember any dog who found a family I'll bet that you remember Sophie! She was sort of a doggie celebrity among us! For those of you who don't know her story, she was found stray in a woods in West Virginia suffering from severe Pyoderma. We had to shave her down, and it took months of healing to get her to a healthy point. One year ago Sophie departed from her foster mom and moved on to her forever home, with her also Old English Sheepdog brother! She has turned into a beautiful dog, and you would never guess her past. She is happy and healthy, and has one of the best endings to a story I have heard in a long time!

First of all I want to say thanks to all the fellow wonderful dog lovers who helped poor Sophie along her journey. The time has now come for Sophie to finally find her forever home. This home will be in Michigan and the family will have experience with the OES breed. They will gave a large dog, as Sophie is best with large dogs. She can be bossy around small dogs. She loves the cold and loves water. She likes playing with toys. She acts like a puppy since she never had the chance to when she was young as she was sick and in pain. She loves to be cuddled and petted for hours, if you want. The family that adopts Sophie will to understand that she was sick for a long time and that my vet and I never gave up on when it looked almost hopeless and tgat moving forward that we will stay involved in Sophie's care until we are assured that her progress us continuing. This will be part of the adoption contract.
