Grover and his best bud (and possible sibling), Linc, were believed to be 'dumped' at a nursery in Jeffersontown in late February 2013. The couple that took the little dogs in searched high and low for an owner but, when none turned up and unable to keep the dogs, they asked ACS to take Grover and Linc in and find them a new loving home. These little guys are super-friendly and are obviously very attached to each other. If one leaves, the other cries and pants almost to the point of hyperventilating. Because of this, we definitely prefer to keep them together. While we can't say with certainty they are housetrained, neither dog potties in their kennel nor have they displayed any marking tendencies. They love to be petted and cuddled and have a healthy curiousity about everything going on around them. Both rode well in the car on a recent trip to the vet. It should be noted that while both dogs appear to be around 3-4 years of age, Grover has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 heart murmur.   His condition doesn't require any medication but he will need to have an x-ray and bloodwork done every 6 months to monitor his condition.  We realize it will take a special person to provide a loving furever home to both of these very special dogs but he or she will be rewarded with twice the love and devotion and have double the fun and laughter!   These guys couldn't be any sweeter or well-mannered.  To see why we love them so much, stop by the shelter and ask to meet them.  We dare you not to fall in love with them, too!
