Posey Sheep Dog & Terrier Mix Henderson, KY

UPDATE: Posey is doing great with her heartworm treatment and should be spayed next month. Because Posey is 12 years old, she has difficulty waiting all day to go outside while her foster parents work. She would probably do best in a home where she wouldn't be left for more than 4-5 hours.


This girl is such a sweetheart! She was found barely moving in a pile of leaves on a cold morning.  A PIF volunteer took her to the vet for treatment but found that she had a microchip. This girl has had a sad life which includes being attacked by other dogs,  being kept outside and in a basement, and having multiple litters of puppies. Her owner wasn't even aware that she had been given away again and was lost for over a week. Her ear was badly infected and she had apparently been hit by a car. She seems to be getting younger everyday in her foster home. She loves to be petted and to play with the other foster dog in the home. She loves her treats and sleeping in a warm dog bed. She deserves to spend her final years in a loving home. She will capture your heart for sure. Her hip is healing but she is currently being treated for heart worms.She will be spayed after her heartworm treatment is finished.
