Age/Gender: 4 years, Male
Breed: Standard Poodle
Temperment: Friendly, smart, playful, easy going
Weight: 100 lbs - he is a bit overweight, but only about 10-15 lbs overweight. He's just a big boy, about 28 inches at the shoulder.
House Training: Good!
Crate Training: Good! He sleeps in it at night.
Other Dogs: Good!
Cats: He saw a cat and didn't run after it; his foster told him to leave it and he did :)
Children: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older
Adoption Donation: $350
Health: Jazz has epilepsy, which is managed with meds. He takes phenobarbitol daily and will need to continue this med indefinitely. Cost is approximately $25/month. His foster gives the pill once daily in the morning and has no issues with him not wanting to take it, he's a good boy with his med. He is otherwise healthy, neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. In addition, all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care.

History: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find Jazz a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!

Notes from Jazz's Foster Home: Jazz in a very friendly boy, he likes both people and other dogs. However, he is quite exuberant on first meeting and doesn’t realize his own strength. Walking on a Wonder Walker or similar harness helps to control Jazz when he gets excited. Once he settles, Jazz is very good to walk and doesn’t pull on leash. Off leash Jazz comes when called, he knows basic obedience, and is quick to learn. He went on a neighborhood trail recently with his foster and he was very attentive to her, and did not veer off the trail at all and came to her when called. Jazz is good about being brushed/combed and having his feet wiped before he comes into the house. Jazz also let his foster cut his long nails without any problem. He is well mannered in the house and doesn’t mind being in an x-pen. Jazz sleeps in his crate at night and is happy to spend some time in his crate during the day as well. Jazz is a good traveller and likes to ride in the car, he will find it easier to get in and out once he has lost some weight! Jazz loves just hanging out with his people and being petted, he will make a great family companion!

All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.
