Meet GROMIT
Meet Gromit!
If ever there was a personality contest for dogs, Gromit would win hands down. Gromit is spunky, silly, playful, affectionate and cuddly. He will stand on his hind legs and frantically wave his front paws at you, saying "hey! look at me!"
He's a one year old wire hair dachshund and super loving and cute. Gromit is very attached to humans and would love nothing more than to sit on your lap and adore you. If you like hanging out reading or watching TV then he's your man! His foster mother loves him and thinks he's a great family dog. When you hold him, he settles in with his head nestled on your shoulder.
Gromit also loves to play with other dogs. He may have short legs, but don't let that fool you. This little guy can run and play and keep up with the big dogs. He's great on hikes, LOVES going for walks, so he's not a couch potato pup.
Gromit is about 18 lbs and is full grown. His story is sad tale. His owner died and he and his father (also a wire hair dachshund) were put up for adoption. Gromit's father was adopted and he doesn't really like being alone. For that reason he needs to be a second dog or have an owner who works from the home.
There is a fee for adoption as we are a registered non-profit. 100% of all adoption fees are given back to the shelter to rescue more dogs. Gromit is neutered and up to date on all shots. Children in the home must be over 3, and we require you fill out an application before meeting our boy Gromit!
