And now a few words from me: I'm a good dog that is looking for a good home. Perhaps a family where there will always be someone to take care of me and give me attention. I love to go for walks and discover the neighbourhood. I like to safeguard the house and if I ever suspect something is out of the ordinary, I will ensure that everyone knows that I'm here to protect the house and family. I have a typical beagle bark; however, I reserve it for special occasions. Normally, I am quiet in the house.
And now a few words from my foster mom: Odie is an adult dog that settled right into his foster home with 5 other dogs and 3 cats. He loves to run and play with the other dogs in his foster. Generally, he likes to be part of the family and can be found in the same room as all the action. Odie has a very distinctive bark which he only uses when there is something going on out of the ordinary. A vibration collar if he barks when he shouldn’t is a great deterent for him. He is great in the house and will cuddle, sleep or chew on his toys. He has never had any kind of accident in the house. Like most hounds, Odie's weakness is food. He loves it, he always wants more, and he will always pretend that he hadn’t been fed in 5 years. He eats twice a day. He is on a diet and exercise program in his foster home and is losing fat and building muscle. At night time, when he's told to go to his bed, and off he goes, pulls his blanket up and goes to slelep.Â
Odie is an absolute sweetheart of a dog with a lot of personality.  He's a lot of fun and a very lovely dog. He loves all the other animals. Odie was surrendered by his owner because unfortunately there was no time to dedicate to him and they want Odie to have a great home where he is a pampered pooch.
Recently Odie has been experiencing minor seziures but luckily the vet said no medication would be required. He was also tested for thyroid issues due to his size and it was confirmed he has hypothyroidism but is easily treated with an inexperience medication. The vet believes once his thyroid returns to a normal level the minor seziures still stop.
