Hello!

My name is Grace and I am so happy that you stopped by to say hello! I'm a friendly little girl who is looking to make some more friends so I'm really excited that you clicked on my picture! Please let me share some information about myself with you so we can get to know each other better.

I am a 9 month old female Heinz 57 All American Mutt who is looking for love. My parents were both Heinz 57 varieties (aren't those the BEST kind???) so no one is 100% sure of what major breeds we are - but the vet thought the two major varieties were a Chocolate Labrador Retriever and a Chocolate Cattle Dog - one thing is for sure though, I am 100% sweet and kind hearted says my foster mom!

I had a really rough start to my life as I lived in a home in which my owners did not take care of me and my MANY siblings (both younger, same age, and older) and we were removed from our home by Animal Control Officers and taken to a local animal shelter. I didn't receive a whole lot of love or attention in my old home, and I really wasn't socialized very well to new people, so I was absolutely terrified in that small Animal Control Cage. A very kind Animal Control Officer took me under her wing and helped network the wonderful volunteers at NBS Animal Rescue to come and save me. I'm happy to report that these fantastic people came out right away and took me to a veterinarian for my vaccines and a wellness check, and then placed me in a patient, warm, loving foster home that I just LOVE.

I'm living with my foster sisters and I am learning how to trust people again...I'm a shy little girl at first, but give me 3 minutes and a treat and I am your new best friend! I really want a family who will be kind, gentle, and patient with me and allow me to learn to trust people on my own time and not rush me into things. Since being in my foster family for only a few days my Foster Dad says that I've opened up and blossomed into a very sweet, playful, and mellow little girl who get's more confident each and every day. My foster mom says that I'm a good snuggler, almost 100% potty trained (I try really hard!) and that I have deep, soulful eyes that just makes her melt. I am GREAT with other dogs, I like to play and run in our fenced back yard with my foster siblings - I'm not a big fan of pushy "in your face" kinda dogs, because I'm pretty submissive and piddle myself in fear when the big dogs get over top of me. I LOVE playing with my foster siblings, and I would love a home where my new family would be patient, kind, loving, and understanding as they help me learn that there is more to life than being afraid and locked in a cage without any love. I'm a quiet girl - I rarely bark or grumble, I like to chew on squeaky toys or a bone, I like my crate filled with toys, and I LOVE to snuggle at night with you in bed - I don't even snore! =) My foster dad says that I am the sweetest little girl you'll ever find - I'm petite, have incredibly soft fur, and my little tail just wags and wags and wags when I'm happy!

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes 2 DHPP vaccines, bordatella vaccine, 2 rounds of De-worming, spay surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning.
