And now a few words from me: I am sure enjoying being out of the shelter - a month was way too long for me. Thank you to Loyal for getting me out of there. Here I have more room and two other dogs but they do things like chasing a ball which I am trying to get the hang of. I am housetrained and have learned to sit before I get a treat. I enjoy my food and long walks and am happy I have my own crate where I go to take a snooze after walks. No one knows my history as I was found without a collar. Being lost and unwanted was very scary. I would like my own collar and name tag so I will know whoever adopts me will never let me get lost again without claiming me.

And now a few words from my foster parents: Peaches has really tugged at my heartstrings, she is so sweet and gentle. She asks for nothing more than good food and regular walks. In return, she gives cuddles and the nicest sweetest nature. Peaches loves to go for walks, the more the merrier, but enjoys a long snooze afterwards. She will go into her crate by herself when she is tired. When walking, she will pull on the leash, because her nose has to be close to the ground so she can smell all of the interesting scents along the way. On the way back she will settle down and walk nicely. She gets along with my two dogs. She loves attention, especially belly rubs. She is a very quiet dog inside the house. The doorbell can ring and she doesn't bark. Outside she will "speak" to other dogs she meets on her walks and will try to get near to them. She likes smaller dogs the best. She will need an owner who knows and understands her breed and who will take her for regular exercise. In return, her new owner will have a wonderful, sweet and gentle companion.
Note: Hounds will follow their noses so must always be kept secure--no doors or gates left open. A well-fenced yard is ideal, but beagles are pack animals and will not want to be outside for very long without a person.
