I am a very smart, sweet and gentle female kitten. Because I was found alone in the rain when I was a tiny kitten, I was named Rainey. If you are looking for a sweet, intelligent, talkative kitty who will enjoy hanging out with you and being pet, I am your perfect match!

For the past several weeks I have been in foster care with five siblings (Fortunato, Lenore, Montresor, Roderick and Rowena) and another kitten from a different litter (Tiger). My foster family has four cats, two large female dogs, my foster mom and dad and their two daughters (ages 8 and 10). We all had a lot of fun playing with (and climbing on) the dogs and we have really enjoyed getting to know the human members of our foster family.

I am a friendly kitten and enjoy being around other cats as well as dogs and people, but I am also independent and like to do things by myself and in my own way. Like my foster mates, I enjoy playing and being around people. I am not quite as adventurous as they are, though, and have preferred to explore more slowly, and in the company of my foster humans. One of the funniest things about me is my voice: I have a happy, chirpy meow that sort of sounds like the noise a bird would make. If you chirp back at me, I will perk up and have a chirpy little conversation with you! Though I am not much of a lap cat, my favorite thing is when people pet me right between my shoulder blades. When pet here, I will purr, close my eyes, arch my shoulders up and even smile! I will probably do well in any type of home, with or without other pets.
