Breed: Lhasa Apso-Shih Tzu mix Age: 3 years Weight: 9 lbs. Temperament : Lovely, quiet and calm, but has a playful side Home with dogs? Yes Home with cats? Yes Home with young kids? No Foster Location: Mississauga Adoption Fee: $375 Â And now a few words from my foster mom: For more information and for more photos of Abby, please visit her foster mom's blog at http://www.digbyandsassy.blogspot.com. Â Â You know the saying, "cute as a button"? Well, we think that Abby is cuter than an entire box of buttons. A really, really big box. Abby is one of the most precious dogs I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. We were told that she wasn't fond of strangers, and we have seen that it takes her a little bit to warm up to people she doesn't know, but we found that she attached herself to us very quickly. On a typical day, Abby can be found lounging on a nearby chair or snoozing away in a spot of sun on the ground. She loves being outside and going for walks, and enjoys car rides (especially if there is a lap for her to sit on!). She is quiet and well-mannered, and would do fine in either a house (with a secure yard) or an apartment/condo. She enjoys the company of friendly dogs and cats, and is a playful and outgoing. Abby is a very confident dog, and while she does like sleeping in the human bed at night, she also loves to hog the couch to herself once we've all gone to sleep. Abby has settled in quicker than any other dog we've fostered; she made herself right at home! If you are looking for a sweet, funny cuddle bug to keep you company and to give you lots of love and affection, then Abby is your girl. She would love a home where someone is home often, but would be fine alone for part of the day if she had a like-minded pooch for company and companionship. Because Abby is shy when approached by strangers, children over 12 only are recommended; we are told that she nipped at a small child in the past, and because of this we cannot consider homes with small children, or where small children frequently visit and could be interacting with Abby without very careful supervision. A mature, adult home is preferred, and is where Abby would be most comfortable. Don't forget to check out Abby's foster mom's blog for more information and photos - http://www.digbyandsassy.blogspot.com - and be sure to check out Abby's Youtube video. We hope to hear from you soon! Â
