Shimmer (AKC Canine Good Citizen Certified) American Staffordshire Terrier West Richland, WA

Shimmer
was picked up starved and in terrible condition in Portland as a stray.
Despite her condition she went willingly to the shelter. All
temperament tests were given there at the shelter and she passed them
all with flying colors. The vet examined her and started treating her
immediately and she was always great with the vet and all the staff.

OR, found out about her and fostered her with the help of Mikey's
Chance.   Shimmer LOVES to retrieve and play tug and she is
an incredible dog with an incredible heart. We have seen nothing in
this dog to ever question her temperament we have only seen her to be
kind, gentle and loving.

The
shelter and her foster's own vet believe Shimmer to be about 5 years of
age. When she is introduced to new dogs on leash of course, her
response has been that she wags her tail.  At the shelter, she was
labeled,"A Shimmer of Hope."



Shimmer holds the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification.  When
being tested, she was awesome and loved by everyone at the test. 
She went through each exercise beautifully without the crowd and noise
bothering her in the least.  Meeting other dogs at the
competition, she was always wagging her tail.  This is truly a
special dog who deserves a caring forever home where she can love and
be loved.

Like
all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you sterilized,
up-to-date on shots, microchipped and treated for internal and external
parasites. An adoption fee of $225 will help offset the cost of care.
