Meet Danny
My name is Danny and I am one of Eastern GSPC Rescue’s “boomerang seniors”. I don’t remember how old I am but my vet thinks I am somewhere around 10. I was rescued by this group about 4 years ago. I had exploratory surgery to remove a lump from my side, and then had to have my shoulder rebuilt. I stayed with my foster “mom” and “dad” for about 9 months while I recovered from all my surgeries and then I was adopted by a family I thought would be my “forever” home. But then disaster struck – my new dad died and my new mom just couldn’t handle taking care of me any longer. I am currently living back with my foster family. I like it here, but I sure would like to find my true “forever home”!
Since I am a senior citizen, I have a few little issues – I have a growth on my eye that the vet says needs to be watched and might need to be removed some day. I have an ear that bothers me from time to time so it needs to be cleaned out on a regular basis (I don’t like having it done, but my foster mom and I get through it!), I have a cough that the vet says probably comes from previous damage to my trachea and I really don’t like thunderstorms, but I am learning to tolerate them – my foster family (people and dogs) don’t seem bothered by them, so I am getting used to the fact that they aren’t going to hurt me. I also have “ouchy” joints, but my foster mom is giving me buffered aspirin for that and I feel MUCH better.
I am a very lovable old man – I can get grumpy from time to time but mostly I just like to “complain” by grumbling. I am crate trained, house trained and know a few basic commands. I really just like to sit by someone to be loved most of the time. I am up to date on all my veterinary care and just waiting for someone who can love me for the rest of my life.
Please email us at gsprescuenj@hotmail.com for an adoption application. We'll get you in touch with my foster mom so she can tell you how wonderful I am!
