Meet Maggie
This is Maggie. She is an 8 yr. old retired search and rescue dog and her owners dumped her at a very high kill shelter because she had a chronic ear infection they didn't want to treat.
Maggie is the sweetest, cutest little girl. Maggie doesn't hear very well or see very well...her ear infection is under control but will need to be maintained.....(daily cleaning of the ears). Maggie is good with other dogs..she has many brothers and sisters here, though I would probably shy away from tiny dogs with her...I think her eyesight or lack thereof just make her a little more apt to be surprised. Maggie is a grandma...she loves everyone but young kids that aren't watched or know how to treat a dog would not work with her. With her hearing and eye issues, Maggie needs a home with some TLC...and patience....you have to sometimes work to get her attention because of the eyes and ears....Maggie has a very cute personality, she woo wooos when she is happy and when she is playing with other dogs. Maggie was over 130# when I got her and believe it or not has trimmed up some but she is still a big girl. Maggie is housebroken...she loves to sleep on nice cushiony beds and she likes to snuggle and eat. Maggie is a special girl that needs a special person or family to love and care for her during heer final years. If you are interested in this sweet girl...please contact me for an application.
