This little girl found herself in a very unfortunate situation when she suffered multiple hip fractures from being hit by a car. Her owner took her for a ride, but Nyla got scared and jumped out of the window, as the owner tried to catch her they mistakenly hit her and in addition got into a crash with another car. The owner could not afford the costs of vet bills and was going to have Nyla euthanized. Lucky Dog Animal Rescue could not let this happen, and took on the responsibility of caring for Nyla's treatment and recovery.

Nyla had surgery on Friday July 8th, 2011 on one side of her hip, and have started her recovery. She is eating well, sleeps and is a real happy little trooper. After recovering Nyla may walk a little bit funny, but it should only add to her charm, and she will very likely function perfectly well as a small dog in a loving family.

Nyla is up-to-date on her vaccinations and will be spayed once she is recovered from surgery and her fractures have healed. She is good with dogs and children, but we do not know how she acts around cats.

Like most shelter dogs, Nyla may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
