Meet Chet
Chet and his brother Chad have had terrible lives, for their entire 9 to 12 months of life has been in a cage. They were terrified when brought to the shelter. They do not know how to walk in a leash and haven't been appropriately socialized. They wanted to hide under the lobby chairs and thought they were going to be hurt when the staff started to take them to the kennels. Even though they weigh between 60-70 pounds, they showed no aggression to the staff when given shots and wormed upon intake. For someone to keep these dogs shut up all these months and not teach them anything is a real shame. If someone would just spend some time with them, these boys could learn and could have a chance at a happy life. Surely someone will give them a chance!
UPDATE: CHET AND CHAD HAVE COME A LONG WAY IN A SHORT TIME BY ALLOWING (AND ENJOYING) BEING TOUCHED AND GIVEN TREATS AND INTERACTING. THEY ARE GREAT DOGS WHO NEED TO BE LOVED!
