Polly German Shorthaired Pointer Oak Ridge, NJ

Hi, I'm Polly. I'm a 5 year old female German Shorthaired Pointer found tied to a pole at a gun club in NY and picked up by animal control. I'm very sweet and the shelter staff loved me, but then they found out I was heartworm positive and couldn't afford to treat me. Rescue saved the day and here I am. I'm very loving and warm up quickly. I have a tail and wag it a lot. The shelter called me "Polly Pocket" because I'm a little lady. I weigh 50 lbs and I'm on the shorter side. My foster family believes that I am a GSP mix, maybe with a hound. I've been spayed, have all my shots and was treated for heartworms. I enjoy the outdoors and walk well on a leash. Inside, I'm mellow and love to follow my foster family around. When they rest, so do I. I’m pretty much their shadow. I'm housebroken and crate trained. I’m pretty smart too. I come when called and I know how to sit. I have a foster sister and I love her so much. I don’t like to romp or play much but I do enjoy having her around. I don’t play much but I do like to run after the tennis ball or cuddle up next to my foster sister on the doggy bed. I’m a mellow kind of girl that would be a great addition for a family looking to add another dog to their home. My foster family says I have to be placed with another dog because I’m sad when I’m alone. Just knowing that there is a human or another dog around keeps me happy.
