Howard Border Collie & Cattle Dog Mix Chicago, IL

Howard and his sister, Honey, were quite the celebrities at the beginning of February when their "owners" dumped them at the Howard Street beach and they fell through the ice. Thankfully, an amazingly good samaritin jumped in and saved them from certain death. When our partner boarding facility, Bark Bark Club, heard about their plight they decided to step in and help out by providing them with free boarding and taking up donations for their vet care. Soon after, we heard about these two and decided to help by intaking them into our adoption program and we are sure glad we did!

Howard is a fun loving boy who weighs 42 lbs. and is about two-years-old. He loves people and is good with other dogs too. Honey and Howard are both going through a basic obedience class so they can go to their forever homes with some great skills. Howard is the more energetic of these two and will thrive most in an active home; we bet he would do great in an agility class! Though Howard and his sister do enjoy romping around together, they are not overly bonded to each other and, therefore, can be adopted to different homes.

As with all One Tail at a Time dogs, Howard is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.
