Meet Gordon
Please contact Gretchen (scubagranny@kalama.com) for more information about this pet.
Gordon was rescued from the streets of Gresham, OR when he was a wild and unruly 12-15 month old puppy. His new owner then worked with him very hard to improve his manners. He is now a mature 5 yr old (approximately) and does NOT jump on anyone. He is so totally housebroken that he'll burst before having an accident in the house, or even in the outdoor kennel. He knows basic voice/hand commands and is learning more in his current foster home.
Gordon lost his caregiver due to her moving into an assisted living community. Her son and his family moved to the farm so that Gordon could continue his way of life. The problem arose when the resident male corgi decided he didn't like Gordon and decided to make an issue over Gordon's presence. When push comes to shove, Gordon will only take so much ..... so for everyone's peace of mind (including Gordon's), he was placed in foster care with Rescued Paws. He is learning to live with cats and does fairly well. If the cat is confident, he will ignore it and instead try to chase the timid ones. He now knows 'leave it' and has never aggressively gone after ANY of the felines.
He weighs around 55 pounds now and requires very little grooming. He doesn't seem to shed much and tolerated a bath. He is active but not hyper and loves to lay at his human's feet when indoors. Gordon would needs an active family who loves to hike and camp.
He likes everyone, but it is obvious that he prefers women.... having been raised by a widow. He is fairly protective of females.... and maybe of kids. He does well w/kids and he is not a wanderer when outdoors.
He is microchipped, neutered and vaccinated ...
