Middy Labrador Retriever & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Morehead, KY

1/22/10 This sweet girl was dumped at the Pound after business hours with a pomeranian. It looks like she just had puppies, so we hate to imagine what horrible fate her babies met. Anyone that would throw these two dogs out in this bitter weather do not have any compassion. This dog looks to be less than 2 years old and is very friendly, pleading to get out of cage. She is very thin and in need of some TLC. As you know, pit and pit mixes are the last to get adopted and the first to be put to sleep.
1/6/11 We had an opportunity to get Middy spayed and did in hopes of making her more adoptable. She is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever come across. She kisses every dog she sees, whether a pitbull or puppy. She is rather lanky now that her milk has dried up. She has been dewormed for tapes and tested negative for heartworms. She would probably do great as an indoor family dog. We will cat test her soon. Her weight is approx 45#.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery.
