And now, a few words from me: Arrrrouuuu! The name is Jack and I gotta be honest with you here; I’m a fantastic little man but I’ve been in rescue since MARCH! I’m trying not to let this get me down, I mean when I look in the mirror, I see a pretty handsome dude staring back. My foster family tells me all of the time that I’m friendly, loveable and that I have a great personality. I live with other dogs and cats and I’m happy and fine to live with them as long as they let me be the boss and they let me eat my dinner in peace, but really I pay them no mind because it’s my humans that really complete me!
And now, a few words from my foster mom: Jack is a wonderful boy that we have all grown very attached to. What I love most about him is his eagerness to please his people! He is extremely low maintenance in the house, happy to curl up on the floor beside you if you want to relax and get caught up on some reading or snuggle up with you and watch a movie. He is completely housebroken and crate trained and is most definitely pleased to show off his basic commands when you have a treat in hand. We walk him twice a day. He has great leash manners and enjoys these very much!
This snuggly, playful 3 year old would thrive in a home that would include him in on their activities…..going to ball games, camping, car rides, road trips –he would be more than pleased to accompany you wherever…whenever so just say the word! Or if your preference is to stay home, read, catch up on gardening....he's your man too! He would be fine to share his new home with another like-sized dog, but we really think he would be happiest having his humans all to himself!
Jack does get sad when he knows his humans are leaving him and will whine/bark in his crate for about 15-20 minutes after you leave but then he’s quiet as a mouse until you come home. Jack is fine to be alone in his crate from anywhere up to 6 hours at a time! Because of the initial whining/barking though he won’t be suited to an apartment or a condo.
Two quirky things about our boy Jack is that he can be quite the little oinker and is beyond tempted when he sees food out of ANY kind. We’re always sure to keep things up high so to Jack-proof the house, and out of reach from his sniffy little nose! He’s also picked up an interesting move from the cats here… He loves to jump up on the couch and rest on the top cushion. He’s probably a little too big to be doing that, but it’s so precious to watch him fall into a deep sleep and start to snore!
Jack is really a laid back guy, looking for a family who will love him as much as he will love them back. Don’t keep this boy waiting any longer! Please give him a chance to snuggle his way into your life and you will wonder how you ever lived without him.
