Meet Tiffany

Imagine that you are an animal arriving at a shelter.
How do you feel?
Scared, alone, fearing for your life? In shock or pain, as you find yourself in a strange environment and in the hands of humans?
You feel threatened and your self-preservation kicks in.
Will you struggle and call out, or will you "freeze" and stay quiet?
Little did I know, help was at hand.
My name is Tiffany and I have a true "rags to riches" story.
Abandoned at a local vet when my mom had me and my siblings, the vet kept me in an outside cage while they tried to figure out what to do with me. Subsequently I contracted parvo and was at death's door for a few weeks. Fortunately, the vet took good care of me and I got better.
Once I was feeling better, however, they put me back in an outside cage where I was slowly being eaten by hundreds of baby ticks. I was covered in them!
And that's when a volunteer at the vet reached out to Ken-Mar Rescue for help.
Ken-Mar Rescue got me to a groomer to remove all of my ticks and give me a medicated bath. After that I went straight away to their private vet where I had a full check up, spay and microchip.
I am now sitting happy in my new foster home with my canine and feline siblings, just waiting for my lucky day to come where I will meet my new family and go to my fur-ever home.
You see, at Ken-Mar Rescue there is such as thing as a "happy ending."
Mine is just around the corner and I can't wait for my life, with my new family to begin.
Will you help make that happen for me?
BREED: Dachshund and Corgi mix, spayed female, three months, 8 lbs.
NAUGHTIEST DEED: Eating too fast.
PET PEEVE: My wobbly legs. Being a pup, I'm still a bit clumsy, but I love to run around.
FAVORITE PASTTIME: Running around the yard and playing.
You too can help save a dog's life!
