Meet Annie
Annie is a sweet older gal who was seized from a household because there were too many dogs. One day Annie was sleeping in her little doggie bed and the next thing she knows, she was being taken by animal control officers to the shelter. My heart broke for this little girl as her world as she knew it had been completely turned upside down and she found herself confused, scared and alone in the shelter. Annie is around 7-8 yrs old but her gray muzzle makes her look old beyond her years so I knew she didn't have much of a chance at the shelter. Fortunately, we located a foster home for her and were able to pull her from the shelter.
Below is a description of Annie by her foster mom:
“Annie is a dignified lady. She likes country living in a place that is relatively calm and quiet, although she will admit to enjoying some play time with other dogs her size – even if they’re puppies. She will accept humans of any age, if they respect her personal space. Annie would love to sleep with you, too, so long as your bed isn’t upstairs (she doesn’t do stairs). You don’t even have to remember when to feed her because she knows when it’s meal time and she’ll come looking for you. She loves to go for walks in the yard and rides in the car and barks only when it’s absolutely necessary. Annie is a joy to foster and would be a perfect companion for a senior, especially one who already has another small dog”.
Annie is a smaller mix weighing about 20 lbs.
Annie is spayed, UTD on vaccines, HW tested Negative, microchipped and her adoption fee is $75.00 (senior rate). If you are interested in adopting Annie, please contact Mandy at 574-633-4611 or heartlandsmallanimalrescue@yahoo.com
