Meet Titan - Adopted

Arrival story: We found Titan at a rural shelter.

Approximate age / weight: 11 weeks old (approx. DOB 4-01-10) and weighs about 16 lbs.

Personality: We think Titan is a purebred black lab. This little butterball is still new to us, but he is pretty much your typical playful and rambunctious puppy. He's quite gifted for a puppy: He's doing well with his housebreaking, considering his young age, and he's also doing well in his crate, as long as he's let out frequently to potty, and is given stimulating toys and things to chew and explore. He's very playful and inquisitive, as most puppies are. Did we mention how cute he is?? Oh, and he loves water, and seems to be a mild mannered little guy who likes to be cuddled.

Forever home: Titan is adorably cute and energetic, but please remember, puppies are a lot of work. Like any puppy, Titan needs to go through obedience training and socialization to ensure he grows into a well-mannered adult dog. Formal obedience training is more about teaching the humans how to communicate effectively with the dog! Are you willing to commit the time to take him to classes, and work with him between classes?

Titan is young enough to adapt to nearly any situation, but what's non-negotiable is that he needs a family willing to help him become a happy, healthy adult, and who will promise to love and care for him his whole life. Remember the average full-grown size of a purebred lab is 60 or 75 lbs. That's a lot of dog!
