Grover is super sweet and doesn't realize how big of a puppy he is already! He still tries to sit on our laps like a cat! He is wonderful with our boys who are 2 yrs old and 5. He lets them climb all over him, sit on him, and they use him as a pillow a lot, too! He sleeps in bed with my 2 yr old. He has never bitten them or anyone, rarely barks, and loves, loves, loves people. He is still hyper though since he is a puppy so once you walk in the door, he will be jumping and licking and will be super excited to see you. He calms down quickly though and loves to be petted. We have a kitten the same age as him and they play together really well.


Grover loves being outside. He runs around in our backyard all day. He doesn't like the heat, though. He will still go outside during the summer, but I think because his coat is black and thick, he gets hot easily. I think he prefers winter. We take him sledding with us and he'll chase us in our sleds down the hill! It's hilarious. He almost looks like he's grinning when he's running around in the snow like that! We've taken him boating, too, and he doesn't like that! I think it scares him but he was still well behaved. He just laid on the floor of the boat quietly. He loves going on walks and short runs. He's just learning how to play fetch.

Adoption fees:
$250.00: Puppies 6 months and under
$250.00: Dogs under 30 pounds
$175.00: Dogs over 30 pounds, over 6 months
There will be a $50.00 refund with proof of obedience class.
Adoption fee includes: microchipping, spay/neuter, initial vaccinations including rabies if age appropriate, HW testing for adult dogs over 6 months and deworming, HW preventative and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. ARVSS encourages adoptors to visit their own vet as soon as possible after the adoption.
