Meet Trixie

Hi, my name is Trixie! I'm an adult, girl bunny, and I'm all black except for a few light specks on my back.

I am definitely a little bit of a homebunny. I like everything in my pen or cage to be just the way I like it, and I'll check everything out and arrange the carpet until I'm happy. My favorite place to snuggle up and relax is in one of the corners of my pen, where I've pushed the towel around to form a little nest.

I'm a little shy at first, but I love getting gentle pets on my head (where my fur is the softest!). I have secret cuddliness - if you set me on your lap, I'll cuddle for as long as you want to pet me!

I am perfectly litter trained, and pee and poop only in the litterbox. I love to have fresh hay put down, and I really enjoy some fresh basil in the morning with my pellets. I love eating lots of fresh greens, and I'll go exploring and be really brave to get my daily carrot.

I prefer hopping around on carpets or towels--it's harder for me to hop on super smooth surfaces, but if you lay a path of towels or carpet squares down, I'll follow it all the way to the end!

Trixie is a rescue with Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a nonprofit which aids homeless and abused animals in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Harvest Home is the official sanctuary of the House Rabbit Society. For more information about Trixie email his foster Mom, Anne. Click here to email Anne.

East Bay Rabbit Rescue.

Note: We only adopt to indoor homes. Your rabbit should be
treated as an integral part of the family. No outdoor hutches. With good care
and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 8-12 years old. We expect you to make
a lifetime commitment to your rabbit(s). The primary caregiver must be a responsible
adult.
