Adopting A Dog: In order to adopt a dog from ASSV you must first fill out an adoption form. If the applicant rents property, we must speak to the landlord by telephone or the renter can provide us with a lease agreement. We do not operate on a "first come first serve" basis but evaluate all applicants and decide what is best for the pets we rescue based on the needs of the dog. This is not meant to discourage adopters in any way, but simply to help adopters understand that we must make the tough decisions about where our pets go.

We are open Wed through Sun from 1-5pm; please arrive to the shelter no later than 4pm to meet dogs-also please be aware that it is not same day adoption. Thank You.
